Team Overview

The Technical Training Team works to educate Student Affairs staff on current software and business applications in use by the division. Under the direct supervision of the Lead Technical Trainer, the Technical Trainers works to train full- and part-time employees on standard office software in a classroom/group environment as well as in individual sessions, and assists in producing training documentation, manuals, videos, brochures, newsletters, or website content.

Language Interpretation

Technical Trainers provide individual and group training on custom campus software such as bMail, bCal, bConnected, Blu, AtYourService, and CalTime, as well as training for other current software including Microsoft applications, Camtasia, iOS/Android devices, and more. The Technical Training team creates bilingual curriculum, produces instructional videos, and compiles training manuals and other documents to help employees learn new technologies and access resources online. The team reaches out to the campus community to offer classroom lessons and training sessions at housing, dining, and administrative locations, including but not limited to Units 1-3, Crossroads, Café 3, Clark Kerr, Foothill, GBC, Ramona's, Sproul Hall, and University Village in Albany. Our team of bilingual trainers welcome general computer inquiries and provide assistance with technical difficulties experienced in a variety of settings. Training is available in English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
